1. Nature of Agreement & Acceptance
PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY. By downloading, accessing, or using the meelanapp/website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. This document is an Electronic Record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the IT (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules (as amended in 2026). It is generated by a computer system and does not require physical or digital signatures.
2. Eligibility & Matrimonial Purpose
- Legal Marriageable Age: Meelan is strictly for individuals seeking a lawful matrimonial alliance. You represent that you are at least 18 years of age (Females) or 21 years of age (Males).
- Personal Use Only: This service is for personal use by individual users. Commercial use, including data scraping or professional matchmaking by third parties, is strictly prohibited.
- Account Limit: Users are permitted to maintain only one active account. Duplicate profiles will be merged or terminated.
3. DPDP Act Compliance & Data Notice
In accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023, Xfstech Solutions LLP acts as your Data Fiduciary.
- Collection & Purpose: We collect your Name, Gender, DOB, Photos, and Government ID solely for identity verification and matchmaking.
- Affirmative Consent: By clicking “I Agree,” you provide explicit and unconditional consent to process your personal data for matrimonial services.
- Data Principal Rights: You have the right to:
- Access & Correct: View and update your data at any time.
- Erasure: Request deletion of your data upon account closure.
- Withdrawal: You may withdraw consent at any time via App Settings, which will result in the cessation of services.
4. Google AdMob & Third-Party Advertising
Meelan utilizes Google AdMob to display relevant advertisements.
- Data for Ads: AdMob may collect device identifiers (Advertising ID) and cookies to serve personalized ads.
- Opt-Out: You can manage or opt-out of interest-based ads through your mobile device’s “Google Settings” or “Privacy” menu.
- Direct Ads: For corporate inquiries regarding direct ad placements, contact
ads@meelanapp.com.
5. Verification, Fake IDs & Consequences
- Mandatory Verification: Meelan reserves the right to verify the authenticity of any profile using AI-based liveness checks or documentary evidence.
- Fake ID Policy: If a user is found using a fraudulent ID or impersonating another person, Xfstech Solutions LLP will terminate the account and cooperate with Law Enforcement Agencies for criminal prosecution.
- Independent Due Diligence: Meelan provides a platform for discovery but does not endorse the character of any user. Users must conduct their own background checks before entering any alliance.
6. Prohibited Content & AI (Deepfakes)
The following content is strictly prohibited and will result in an immediate ban:
- Promoting racism, bigotry, or hatred.
- AI-Generated Deception: Posting deepfakes or synthetic media to mislead users (per 2026 IT Rules).
- Sexually explicit/violent material or content exploiting minors.
- Spamming, junk messages, or pyramid schemes.
7. Communication Services (Chat, Voice & Video)
- Respectful Conduct: Users must behave with dignity. Harassment or abusive language is not tolerated.
- No Recording: Meelan provides the technical interface but does not record or store your voice/video call data.
- User Liability: You are solely responsible for information (phone numbers, social handles) you choose to share during calls. Meelan is not liable for damages resulting from such disclosures.
8. In-App Purchases (meelan Coins)
- No-Refund Policy: All purchases of “Meelan Coins” are final and non-refundable.
- Coin Transfer: If you close your account, your remaining coins can be transferred to another user of your choice.
- Processing Fee: A fee will be deducted from your balance to facilitate any transfer.
- Google Play: All financial transactions are secured and managed by Google Play; Meelan does not store your credit card or bank details.
9. Proprietary Rights
All software, trademarks, logos (including “meelan””meelanapp”), and copyright-protected content are owned by Xfstech Solutions LLP. You may not copy, modify, or sell any proprietary information found on the app.
10. Limitation of Liability & Jurisdiction
- Intermediary Status: Meelan acts as an “Intermediary” under Section 79 of the IT Act. We are not liable for user-to-user disputes.
- Governing Law: These terms are governed by the Laws of India.
- Jurisdiction: Any legal proceedings shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kolkata, India.
